I’ve just uploaded the Yahoo Widget version for review. Just have to wait for the approval process before it appears on the widget gallery. Anyway it can be also be downloaded here.

I have to say that is the nicest auto-generated letter that I’ve ever received. Most of the form letters that I receive tend to go like “Please pay XXXX by XXXX or we shall terminate your….”
I like the way that they mention Nytonia a few times which make me kinda regret coming up with that name. I imagine it can be funny to see the letter mentioning something mouthful like “The New York Times Bestseller Lists Widget” a few times.
Probably for my next project I’ll come out with a really-really loooong name so that it will cause a buffer overflow in their form letter software…..nyahahaha!

My next step is to port the Nytonia widget to Konfabulator aka the Yahoo Widget Engine. Doesn’t look to difficult given Yahoo’s excellent developer support site.
Nytonia – The New York Times Bestseller Lists Widget

Hi all,
This is my first attempt at creating an OS X Dashboard widget. I’ve just submitted it to Apple for inclusion in the widgets directory. Let’s see how it goes.
Basically it is a simple widget which allows the user to view the various New York Times bestseller lists. Clicking on the image of a book in the list will load the related Amazon page in a browser. You can download the widget from the ‘Download‘ page link in the sidebar.
“The New York Times Bestseller Lists…..there’s an app for that”. (Okay, okay….widget!)
